Multi-platform banking

The same account view on web and in the app.

Web and app at Urban Bank are two doors into the same house. The account list, the last transfer, and the card status are not rebuilt for each platform. Copy on a button may wrap differently. The figure next to it must not.

If a product page on this site lists a cut-off for same-day transfers, the app uses that cut-off. We do not run a “web fee” and an “app fee” for the same send.

How it works

The website is the public Urban Bank site you are on now, plus the signed-in account pages a customer uses after a banker opens the file. The iOS and Android apps read the same file. A change on one platform is a change on the others after refresh.

Design keeps a mint confirm button and a hold card in the same words. Developers are not free to shorten “fee” to an icon on web and a paragraph in the app. If the confirmation screen cannot fit the sentence, we cut elsewhere — not the amount.

Platform work includes store releases. A freeze control that exists only in a beta build is not advertised on this site until it is on both stores.

What you see

  • One account list, whether you tap or click
  • Confirm screens that name the fee before Send
  • Card freeze and limits that apply on every platform
  • Store and web copy that stays current when a URL or badge changes

What this is not

We do not ship a different product called “Urban Web Bank” with its own rules. Multi Platform means the same rules, rendered for a browser or a phone. It is not a promise that every marketing page has a native twin on day one.

How to start

Ask a banker which platforms your account type may use. Personal accounts typically get web and the mobile app. Some business files stay on web and at the desk until the app listing is approved. Talk to us if a platform is missing after you expected it.
