Savings Accounts

A ₹10,000 bonus on a new Urban Bank savings file when the qualifying deposit clears before the date on the offer sheet.

February 19, 2024

This offer is a ₹10,000 bonus for a new personal savings file at Urban Bank. It is not interest. Interest, when the product pays it, is a separate line on the monthly note. The bonus posts once, after we confirm the qualifying deposit and the account is still open on the review date.

The savings product is the same one a banker can open at the desk. You see the fee box, the hold language, and the bonus rules before you confirm.

Who it is for

  • You do not already have a personal savings file with Urban Bank
  • You can fund the account with the amount printed on the current offer sheet
  • You can leave the money in place through the review period if the sheet requires it
  • You want a savings file that shares the same app and note as checking, if you also have checking

Joint, trust, and business savings may be excluded. Ask before you apply if the name on the ID is not the only name on the file.

How the ₹10,000 posts

The sheet names a minimum deposit and a deadline. The deposit counts when it clears, not when it is initiated. A transfer from another Urban Bank account counts only if the sheet says internal transfers qualify — many versions require new money.

After the deposit clears we wait until the review date. If the balance stays at or above the floor printed on the sheet, the ₹10,000 posts as a named credit. If you withdraw below that floor, the bonus can be withheld or reversed.

You will not see the ₹10,000 on the day you open the account. You will see it on the note that covers the review date, with this offer’s name on the line.

What you see

  • Opening balance and any hold on the first deposit, with a reason we are allowed to show
  • The fee box (paper statements, excess withdrawals, or other product fees if they apply)
  • Interest, if this savings type pays it, as a separate line from the bonus
  • The ₹10,000 credit named on the monthly note when it posts

What this is not

This is not a high-yield campaign with a teaser rate that changes after 90 days without a notice. If a rate is on the sheet, that rate and its end date are on the sheet. The ₹10,000 is a one-time bonus, not a rate.

It is also not a checking perk. Checking bonuses live on the checking offer pages. Do not add this ₹10,000 to a ₹25,000 checking headline unless a banker prints a combined sheet.

How to start

Ask for Savings Accounts at a Mumbai branch or send Talk to us. Bring ID. Read the current sheet for the deposit amount and the review date. If you already have checking, we can add savings to the same app so both files share one note.
