Trusted & Secure
Confirm a payment before it leaves the account.
A payment at Urban Bank does not leave because you tapped a pretty button. It leaves after confirm, with the amount and the fee on screen. If we cannot show those lines, we do not send.
Security here is operational, not a slogan. Freeze a lost card. Treat a hold as a hold. Do not reuse a password the banker told you to change.
How it works
Confirm is a separate step from “review”. Review can still change the destination. Confirm is the last yes. After that, reversing a send follows the rails we used — not a marketing “undo”.
We ask for extra checks when a corridor, an amount, or a new device looks unlike your usual pattern. Extra checks can delay a send. The delay is a hold with a sentence, not a silent gap.
Staff at the desk can see that you confirmed. They cannot pretend a payment posted if it did not. If someone calls and asks you to read a code, hang up and call the number on the back of the card or on this site.
What you see
- Amount, destination, and fee on the confirm screen
- A hold note next to an item that is not yet final
- Card freeze that stops new spend when the network accepts it
- No Urban Bank page that asks you to type a password into a chat window
What this is not
Trusted & Secure is not a claim that crime never happens. It is a claim that our screens will not hide the last yes, and that the branch and the app share the same freeze. We also do not offer a public “forgot password” theatre that logs you into a demo bank.
Device biometrics are convenience. They do not replace a freeze when the device is gone.
How to start
Keep the bank’s published numbers. Freeze first if a card is missing, then call. For a payment that looks wrong, bring the time, amount, and destination to the desk or to Talk to us. Do not confirm a send you did not begin.
